
JIM KOGL (Saxophone)
Jim Kogl started out in music playing the trumpet at age 9. After high school he switched to the tenor saxophone and started playing in bands around the Twin Cities. Since then he's played in a variety of musical situations including, Lamont Cranston, The Doug Maynard Band, West Side, Big Walter Smith Blues Review, Reggae with Les Exudes, and a stint in California with blues violinist Don "Sugar Cane" Harris before joining Big Walter for his second tour of duty. Jim lives in Minneapolis and has one son.
